Christmas in Mt Pleasant - 2018

There is nothing better than coming home after a long trip, when families can unite and be together again. You and your families are invited to Christmas in Mt Pleasant this December 23rd and December 24th at the Historic Broadway Theater in Downtown Mt Pleasant. We will celebrate the birth of Jesus with amazing music, a message that makes sense, and a good dose of family fun as we celebrate families 'Coming Home'. The street outside the Broadway will be closed and filled with activities for the entire family - Hot chocolate bars, snowballs, carolers, Christmas cookies and Christmas family pictures. PLUS, we’ve got a free gift for your family, just for showing up!

Pick from one of three experiences for the whole family. December 23rd at 5pm & 7pm and December 24th at 5pm. Bring your entire family and get ready to celebrate!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the Christmas in Mt Pleasant experiences like?

Outdoors, the fun and games begin an hour before the experience time. There will be game, activities, family photos, music, hot cocoa and surprises outside for the whole family to enjoy. Indoors, our Christmas experiences typically happen in about 60 minutes or less. During which time we will sing some songs together, watch some videos, hear an awesome message, receive an offering, then head home. We laugh a lot! Our music is loud and exciting! Our pastor talks about real subjects that apply to everyday life.

When should I show up?

We have three identical experiences for you to choose from on Christmas Eve Eve (December 23rd) at 5 & 7pm and Christmas Eve (December 24th) at 5pm. We recommend showing up early to enjoy the activities and connect with a volunteer who will show you around, introduce you to some of our staff, help you find a great seat, etc...

What should I wear?

Feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Some people like to dress up for Christmas services, but many of our people (including our staff) will be wearing jeans!

What should I do with my kids?

There is no separate experience for children during our Christmas experiences. The whole experience is designed with your whole family in mind, and we promise that there will be something for people for all ages! Activity packets (coloring pages, crayons, small toys, etc) will be available for kids as well to keep them entertained!

Will I have to do anything weird?

As a guest we will never ask you to say, sign or give anything. We won't ask you to wear a visitor badge, stand up or doing anything that might make you feel uncomfortable. We would love for you to fill out a connect card and let us know who you are, where you're from and how we might be able to help get you connected...and in return we'll even give you a free gift just for checking us out!

I'm not sure I even believe in God, am I still welcome?

Absolutely! We actually started this church just for you! Whether you've been a Christian your whole life, or you're still trying to figure out this whole God thing, you are welcome here at Thrive.

I still have questions, who should I talk to?

We would be happy to answer any questions we didn't already cover here. Just send an email to or give us a call at 989-572-0439. We really look forward to meeting you!

Let Us Know You're Coming
